We create itineraries so everyone in your group can have fun! Most groups have a variety of skill-levels and ages. It may seem impossible to do something that everyone will like, but that’s our specialty! Our variety of rivers and activities lets everyone participate at their own level.

Sulphur Gates in Willmore Wilderness Park, Grande Cache
At the entry into Willmore Wilderness Park – the largest mountain wilderness area in Canada – lies the breathtaking Sulphur Gates: a confluence of 2 rivers flanked by towering cliffs. Only a 10-minute drive from Grande Cache, join Wild Blue Yonder on a short, easy hike to explore the cliffs then float gently down the Smoky River, surrounded by the ever-changing mountain views. Learn how geological forces and the fur trade shaped this pristine landscape, just as wild and untouched today. Discover the Northern Rockies.

Sulphur & Smoky Rivers
The Sulphur canyon is drop-dead gorgeous and super fun to paddle! For people who want a full day of rafting, but don’t want it too extreme.
- Rates: Adults $150 +gst | Child (8-15) $125 +gst
- Level: Beginner/Intermediate, class 2/3+, ages 8+
- Open: mid May to early September
- Duration: 3 - 4 hours river time, 6 hours total

This is an excellent way to get your feet wet and try out rafting with young kids, seniors or disabled people. Much of this trip is a gentle float down the Smoky River Valley, surrounded by the incredible Rocky Mountains! As you are entertained by our wacky guides, you’ll be lulled by the soothing nature of the river and wilderness. But if you want to spice things up a bit… never fear, the water guns are near! The Smoky River is our water fight battleground! Things really heat up and everyone gets cooled down by a refreshing blitz of glacier water! Let loose and attack your family members or co-workers, or even perfect strangers! If you’re lucky, you may even catch sight of a mountain goat, moose, deer or elk as you row merrily along. This trip finished with a bang as we hit the Big Rapids at the end: a safe set of class 2+ rollers that give you a taste of white water.

of wraps + potato salad + hot chocolate and iced tea.
Sulphur River & Sheep Creek
Get into the groove on the sulphur river, then it’s time for sheep creek madness. Best for the crazy ones… you know who you are!

- Level: Advanced, class 3/4+, ages 18+

- Duration: 3.5 - 4 hours river time, 8 hours total

If you want the scary stuff, but don’t have the experience, this is your trip. Get into the groove on the Sulphur River, where the twists and turns of the canyon pump up your paddling. Next, step up the pace on Sheep Creek: a super-steep, paddle-your-face-off thrill of a lifetime. Good physical fitness required, must be 18+.

Sulphur River & Lunch
Raft moderate rapids on the twisty turvy sulphur river. Between giggles and shouts, your group comes together!

Shoot moderate rapids, dodge boulders and squeeze through the tight spots while team-paddling. The Sulphur Canyon plunges 300 feet down then twists and turns all the way to the Sulphur Gates; Grande Cache’s top scenic spot. This trip includes a riverside lunch where you can warm-up or cool-down with some hot chocolate or iced tea then choose from a selection of deli meats, cheese and buns with a side of potato salad and fresh veggies. This menu can be altered to accommodate different dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten-free etc). Sulphur River, Paintball & Lunch
After rafting the sulphur river, get ready to hunt your friends in a natural woodland arena. Get outta’ your wetsuits and into coveralls!
- Rates: $149 +gst, (incl. rafting, lunch & 200 paintballs)
- Level: Beginner/Intermediate, class 2/3+, ages 12+

- Duration: 1.5 to 2.5 hrs river time, 7 hours total

Combine the beginner/intermediate Canyon Whitewater rafting trip with a riverside lunch, and then an exciting game of paintball! You will be served a tasty riverside lunch (buns, deli meats, cheese, potato salad, veggies). After lunch it’s only a 5-minute drive back to the change rooms to get geared up for paintball!
