Canyon Whitewater, Paintball & Lunch
First up is the Sulphur River, where you will shoot moderate rapids, dodge boulders and squeeze through the tight spots while team-paddling. The Sulphur Canyon plunges 300 feet down then twists and turns all the way to the Sulphur Gates; Grande Cache’s top scenic spot. Between giggles and shouts, magic happens as your group comes together. You can find out more information about the Sulphur river here.
This trip includes a riverside lunch where you can warm-up or cool-down with some hot chocolate or iced tea then choose from a selection of deli meats, cheese and buns with a side of potato salad and fresh veggies. This menu can be altered to accommodate different dietary requirements (vegetarian, gluten-free etc). If you would like something extra special for lunch then you can check out our meal package options here.
Following lunch you will dress up in authentic Military Flight Suits and thermal face masks, you and your team will roam the woods searching for the enemy. Taking cover behind natural blinds and shelters, you must form a plan of attack and execute it to perfection. Be prepared to think on your feet, run your heart out and have the time of your life hunting down your friends! For more information on the paintball experience click here.

ITINERARY: Meet us at the Rafting House AT your trip time (map). Finish payments, sign the waiver/medical form, change into rafting gear, and hop on the bus. It’s 3km to the river, plus a 5 minute walk into the canyon. The trail is steep, those with walking impairments or vertigo may require assistance. At the river, there’s a safety talk, and we check life jackets and helmets before launching. Guests sit on the sides and paddle! Kids under 12 sit in the middle. About 2/3 of the trip is on the Sulphur River. At the Sulphur Gates we float into the Smoky River. Here, younger kids can paddle, and the water guns come out! Brave guests can float beside the boat! We float for 30-45 minutes on the Smoky River. The trip ends at the ‘Blue’ Bridge south of Grande Cache.
You will be served a tasty riverside lunch (buns, deli meats, cheese, potato salad, veggies). After lunch it’s only a 5-minute drive back to the change rooms to get geared up for paintball!
You will jump back on the bus and head down to the paintball field. We will get you into your paintball gear and give you a safety briefing that explains all the rules of the game. These rules must be adhered to at all times or you will be removed from the game. The game will be supervised by a Wild Blue Yonder referee.
