TRIP FAQ's
WHAT KIND OF TRIPS DO WE HAVE? Every kind of rafting trip! gentle floats; beginner/intermediate white water, and advanced extreme white water. See skill levels for what's best for you. Trips also listed by duration: 3 hour, 6 hour, and overnight trips: this is the total trip, time on the water is about half the trip time. If you are not sure what trip you want, please call or email us.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DO I NEED TO BOOK A TRIP? Quite often, just you! But, some trips do require minimum numbers. If you do not have enough people, call us to see if you can join a trip.

DO WE HAVE TO BOOK AHEAD? Most of the time, yes. But, if you have a small group, and you are not going on a Saturday, you may be able to get a last minute booking. Most Saturdays fully book, so please book well in advance, especially for the advanced trips. Small groups (less than 8), can often book just a day ahead, groups of 2-3 can call the day before or in the morning.

WHEN DO OUR TRIPS RUN? Day trips are at 9am and 1 pm, Saturday trips are 8 am, 12 pm and 4 pm. Please come to our booking counter no more than 10 minutes before your start time. We operate trips from the May long weekend to the September long weekend. Sometimes we can do a trip before and after the season starts, so call if you want to go rafting earlier or later.

WHERE DO YOU MEET US? Day trips start and finish in Grande Cache (see map). We shuttle you to and from the river.

WHAT'S PROVIDED? All required rafting gear is provided. See what to bring. Waterproof cameras for sale at the counter.

WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD? Trips go as scheduled, rain or shine. Trips may be substituted in case of very high water, or re-scheduled in case of booking conflicts.

BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY
DEPOSITS: Deposit or payment is required to confirm all bookings. Please note cancellation policy below. Accommodation policies will be listed on your confirmation. Cancellation policies on other activities listed on the trip info sheets. Balances due are paid at our booking counter prior to trip departure. Payments made at our booking counter can be cash or credit card: we do not accept bank cards and there is not an ATM. Trips requiring payment in full can be paid by check, but the trip is not confirmed until the check has cleared our bank account.

CANCELLATION POLICY & DEADLINES: 10% will be deducted from ALL refunds or credits for all cancellations: this includes any person cancelling off a group trip: they will receive a credit or refund for their trip less 10%. Where applicable, deposits are held as credits. Credits are transferable to other people, are valid for 2 years, but can be used ONLY for future trips. Please note deadlines below.

2 WILD, SHEEP CREEK, KAKWA & SMOKY OVERNIGHT: Full payment required to book. NO REFUND. If cancellation occurs before 45 days prior to the trip a credit will be issued.

ALL OTHER RAFTING TRIPS: 30 days or more for deposit refund less 10%. 15-29 days, deposit held as credit, less 10%. 5-14 days; deposit forfeit, no credit. Less than 5 days: full cost charged on deposit credit card, no credit.
NO SHOWS: If you arrive with less than you book for, and do not give notice, the full cost of missing guests will be charged on the deposit credit card. No refund or credit.

SHORT NOTICE BOOKINGS: Guests calling less than 5 days before a trip date must pay the full amount of the trip, no credit given for cancellations.

WEATHER/ GUEST SUITABILITY: Trips run, rain or shine (or snow!). Additional cold-weather gear is provided on cold or rainy days. Guests wanting to cancel at any time on trip day will not be refunded. Guests appearing intoxicated will be unable to participate and will not get a refund. Wild Blue Yonder reserves the right to substitute,
re-schedule or cancel trips. Cancelled trips will be fully refunded. Substituted or re-scheduled trips can be declined and a CREDIT will be issued.
