The Crazy River Staff
Besides being incredible charming, good-looking, and more fun than a barrel full of monkeys, we are highly skilled on the rivers. All guides are licensed for commercial rafting in accordance with the draft Federal Rafting Standards of Canada and hold valid Swiftwater Rescue and First Aid Certification. Each year, we spend weeks honing our skills and practicing rescues. Most guides have post-secondary education in a tourism-related field, and are professional career guides. They work with all types of groups, so put your worries aside when you come - even the little ones will be charmed! Special needs groups can be catered to, and we are aware that not everyone is young and fit! At all times, we are dedicated to your safety and showing you a great time!

Training & Employment
Wild Blue Yonder is excellent training for guides serious about taking care of people, working with kids, and running technical rivers. Your river reading skills become sharp, and response times honed. On shore, we run a tight ship, with the many trips and packages resulting in a dynamic, fast-paced workday. We offer a comprehensive 5 week training program for wanna-be's who have paddled rivers. The training and testing covers 35 practical and written industry standard competencies, including the ability to guide guests on a class 2/3+ river. Successful trainees finish with a Guide Certificate from the Professional River Outfitters of Alberta and Swiftwater Rescue Level 2. Contact us via email in March to inquire about openings.
